Decentralized Apps That Feel Simple to Use

We build dApps where smart contracts handle trust and a clean web or mobile interface handles everything else, so users connect a wallet and get going.

Web3 Products Fail on UX Before They Fail on Code

A decentralized application, or dApp, runs its core rules in smart contracts while users interact through a familiar web or mobile front end. Ownership and settlement happen on-chain, so no central operator can freeze balances or edit history. The hard part is everything around the contracts: wallet connection, transaction signing, pending states, failed transactions and fetching on-chain data fast enough to keep pages responsive.

We build dApps for Web3 startups launching a product, communities building governance or membership tools, and established companies adding on-chain features like verifiable credentials, token-gated content or loyalty rewards. Many of their users have never held a wallet, so onboarding through email login, embedded wallets and sponsored gas often decides whether the product gains traction at all.

Our team plans contracts, indexing, back end and interface as one product. We use The Graph or custom indexers for fast reads, account abstraction for gasless onboarding where it fits, and Next.js or React Native for the front end. Every release goes through testnet trials with real users before mainnet, and you keep 100% of the code.

Break the chain, see why it holds

A sample chain in your browser. Edit any block's data and every block after it stops matching, until it is re-validated. That is the tamper evidence a ledger gives you.

    Blockchain-based loyalty program

A brand rewards customers with tokens they can redeem with partner merchants, using a dApp that hides wallet complexity, sponsors transaction fees and shows balances and offers in a familiar mobile-friendly interface.

  • Mission 05

    On-chain game marketplace

A web3 game lets players trade in-game items represented as tokens through an integrated marketplace, with fast off-chain gameplay and on-chain settlement for ownership changes and completed item trades between players.

dApp Development, in depth

§01SPEC · ON-CHAIN-VS-OFF-CHAIN-DECIDING-WHAT-GOES-WHERE

On-chain vs off-chain: deciding what goes where

A decentralized application does not need to put everything on a blockchain. On-chain storage and computation are slow and expensive compared with traditional servers, so good designs place only what requires trustless guarantees on-chain: ownership, balances, critical rules and settlement.

Everything else, such as search, profiles, notifications, analytics and large media files, usually lives off-chain in conventional databases, indexers or decentralized storage. This keeps the user experience fast and costs low while preserving the properties that make the dApp trustworthy.

Network choice follows from these decisions. Ethereum offers strong security and ecosystem depth, while layer 2 scaling networks reduce fees for frequent transactions, and other chains offer different trade-offs in speed and tooling. Document the trust model clearly for users. Explaining which parts are on-chain and verifiable, and which depend on the team's servers, builds credibility and helps users understand the risks they are accepting.

§02SPEC · WALLET-ONBOARDING-OPTIONS

Wallet onboarding options

Wallets are often the biggest barrier for new users. Asking someone to install a browser extension, store a seed phrase and buy tokens for fees before trying a product loses most mainstream visitors. Modern approaches reduce this friction significantly, as summarized below.

Embedded wallets created through email, social login or passkeys let users start immediately, with keys secured through providers using secure enclaves or multi-party computation. Users can later export keys or connect a self-custody crypto wallet as they become more experienced.

Account abstraction enables smart contract wallets with recovery options, spending limits and sponsored gas, where the application pays transaction fees on behalf of users for selected actions. Offer the right default for your audience. Crypto-native users expect familiar wallet connections, while mainstream users benefit from simpler onboarding that hides blockchain details until they are needed.

  • Browser and mobile wallets via WalletConnect.
  • Embedded wallets with email or social login.
  • Passkey-based wallets for passwordless access.
  • Smart contract wallets with recovery and spending limits.
  • Sponsored transactions so users need no tokens initially.

§03SPEC · FRONTEND-SECURITY-FOR-DAPPS

Frontend security for dApps

Even with secure smart contracts, users can lose funds through a compromised frontend. Attackers who alter a dApp's website, through a hijacked domain, compromised dependency or hosting account, can trick users into signing malicious transactions that drain their wallets. Protect the frontend like critical infrastructure. Secure domain registrar and DNS accounts with strong authentication, monitor for unauthorized changes, pin and review third-party dependencies, and use content security policies to limit which scripts can run on the site.

Clear transaction previews help users catch problems. Showing exactly what a transaction will do, which tokens will move and which approvals are requested, in plain language, reduces the chance of users approving something unexpected. Limit token approvals to necessary amounts rather than unlimited allowances, and provide easy ways for users to review and revoke approvals. These small design choices significantly reduce damage when other protections fail.

dApp Development FAQs

Something else on your mind? Ask a consultant and get a reply within one business day.

What drives the cost of building a dApp?

The main drivers are contract complexity, the number of chains, indexing needs, wallet and onboarding features, design depth and any off-chain back end. An external audit adds cost for apps that hold user funds. We give a fixed quote after a free consultation and a short scoping call.

How long does dApp development take?

A focused MVP with one core contract and a web interface usually takes a few months, including a testnet beta. Larger platforms are released in phases so you can gather feedback early.

Which blockchain should our dApp use?

It depends on your users and transaction patterns. Ethereum layer-2 networks such as Base, Arbitrum and Polygon offer low fees with Ethereum tooling, while Solana suits high-frequency interactions. We compare fees, wallet support, ecosystem and liquidity for your specific case before recommending one.

Can people without crypto experience use our dApp?

Yes. With embedded wallets, social or email login and gas sponsorship through account abstraction, users sign up like they would for any normal app and can later export their keys if they want full self-custody.

How do you secure a dApp?

We test contracts thoroughly, run internal security reviews, recommend an external audit for apps holding value, protect the front end against DNS hijacking and supply-chain attacks, and set up on-chain monitoring for unusual activity after launch.

Does our dApp need to consider regulation?

If your dApp handles payments, tokens with financial features or user funds, it may fall under virtual asset, AML or securities rules in your markets. We recommend legal review early, and we can build in KYC checks, geo-restrictions or allowlists as your counsel advises.

Do dApps need a backend server?

Most do, even though core logic runs on-chain. Servers or serverless functions handle indexing, notifications, search, user profiles, analytics and integrations with other systems. The key is ensuring that critical guarantees, such as ownership and balances, do not depend on these servers being honest.

How do dApps read blockchain data quickly?

Reading directly from blockchain nodes is slow for complex queries, so dApps use indexers such as The Graph or custom indexing services that listen to contract events and store data in queryable databases. This allows fast dashboards, search and history views while the blockchain remains the source of truth.

Can a dApp work well on mobile?

Yes. dApps can run in mobile browsers with wallet apps through WalletConnect, inside wallet in-app browsers, or as native mobile apps with embedded wallets. Mobile-first design, simple transaction flows and sponsored fees make blockchain features practical for mainstream mobile users.
